Okay Moms and Dads there is still time to enter your cutie in the Sweet Faces contest. I’ve received several entries but like I promised the more pictures I receive the more prizes.  Don’t forget I need your images emailed to me by April 7th, shannon@shannonwphotography.com . Here’s one of the latest little sweeties… Hugs

Little Turtle

Pretty as a Princess

March 31, 2009

So a few weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with one of my favorite photographers, Jennifer Adams. I got to assist her at the Strawberry Pageant. I just wanted to share  a few photos.  The young women who were the Queen and Princess from 2008 also performed, they were amazing. Each and every one of the contestants were beautiful and so talented.  I definitely would not have wanted to be one of the judges.  Congratulations to the winners and each of the scholarship recipients.

So when I’m bored I come up with stuff that I just have to do and honestly I can’t sleep until I just do it.  Now this is far from original but to celebrate my favorite season of the year I want to have a contest.

A “Sweet Faces Contest”, not for you grownups but for your children or grand-children. From babies to age 14.  All you have to do is email me your pictures between now and  April 7th. Then I’ll post them all on my blog and let the voting begin.  I’ll also post them all in a folder on Facebook for everyone to see.  The more entries I recieve the more prizes I’ll give away. For now the winner will receive a full session with me along with a 11×14 wall portrait, plus whomever enters them will get a prize of their own.

Sound like fun? Yes you get to be the ones voting, along with who ever else you share the contest with.  Just send pictures of your sweetie being themself along with a little caption (no names will be revealed), please no cell phone images ( I want your baby to look good) and under 1MB in size.

My email address is shannon@shannonwphotography.com

Can’t wait to see what you share. HUGS!!!

So while Lindsey and Jimmy celebrated their anniversary, Mimi and I took pictures of baby “B”.  I was definitely intruding on his nap time, but this little monkey is beautiful awake or asleep. Everytime I see him I am amazed how fast he is growing and how darn cute he is (just like his Mommy & Daddy). :) Hugs…

Cute Little Cousins

March 24, 2009

So I am a little biased when it comes to this next session I did. I do believe that these are some of the cutest kids in the world. Partly because  they belong to my cousins, but mainly because they are just gorgeous. Their Grandma wanted some closeups, you definitely want to smooch their little cheeks. So sweet…  I can’t wait until our time at the beach this summer.

So tomorrow is the big day for a super sweet couple. Wendy and Thad will be meeting their brand new baby girl, Emily. The day I met them at the park, they were heading home to put the final touches on the baby’s nursery.  I’ll be praying for you all tomorrow. We can’t wait to meet your little angel baby very soon. Hugs…

Little Cowboy

March 24, 2009

This is the first of several sessions that I wanted to share. I had the chance to catch up with Kellie and photograph her adorable little boy, “J”.  He is a sweet little boy, he had so much fun looking at the cows and the fish, just being a little boy. I will admit I caught him checking out two of my little princesses, the little man does have good taste. He probably was just hoping they’d pull him in the wagon :)  We did discover that he didn’t like the cowboy hat, he wanted to use it as a frisbee… LOL

Thanks Kellie for letting me spend some time with the both of you, can’t wait to meet your new little man in a few months. HUGS…

Who’s going to Fair?

March 12, 2009

So I’ll admit I’ll be there, more than one day too. I’m still a sucker for the rides and I have to have my funnel cake, and Freeman’s chicken and rice, and a corndog and probably some strawberry shortcake and don’t forget the carmel apples. Yes I love junk food!

So here’s a trivia question about me.  Have I ever been guilty of going to the fair every night it was open and if so who was my partner in crime? If anyone can get this one right I will be giving a prize. LOL

No more joking now. The family and I will be at the fair, some fun time and some work time. The girls will be competing in a couple things and I will be doing some photography. If you see me there and I take your photo I’ll be posting all my facebook friends.

I had a bunch of sessions last weekend and I am working on them, so there will be some posted soon, just not this weekend. Tomorrow is my day with Jackson, wait until you see this little cowboy.

The flower field in Hampton will be blooming soon, so if you want to schedule ahead of time, email me. I’ve got some cute stuff planned but I’m not sharing my secrets.  :)

One more shout out.. GO GATOR SWIM CLUB!!!! Liz will be competing in another meet this weekend (I won’t be able to be there since I’m selling her Girl Scout cookies). She and her team mates will be awesome.

Busy Busy

March 6, 2009

So this week has gone by in a flash, and the weekend is going to be even more exciting. Saturday morning we’re having a little family time, hopefully there will pancakes involved..

Tomorrow afternoon I’ve got a maternity session with Wendy and Thad, then I get to do some photography at a pageant that night. The fun doesn’t stop there because Sunday I have a session with two of my favorite little boys in the entire world. On Monday, a set of twins and their baby sister and these kids are just beautiful. I can’t wait…

Over the weekend I’ll be uploading some information about a National Model Search which I’ll be taking part in, it helps an awesome organization and at the same time the winner will receive some great prizes along with a $5,000 savings bond. I know you moms already want more information and I promise I won’t let you down…

Camping

March 1, 2009

So two of my girls are in Girl Scouts and this weekend we all went camping (Dad included), it was a really fun trip. Believe it or not, I purposefully left my camera at home. We panned for sharks teeth, hiked, caught tadpoles, had a talent show and of course ate s’mores. Saturday was a beautiful day here in Florida and the evening was even more beautiful. One of the other parents had brought along a telescope and the views were spectacular.  Leave it to Florida weather because it was rainy and cold Sunday morning.  Thank goodness it will be spring before we know it.

Also have to mention today was special for another reason, “Happy Birthday to my Momma”. I love you!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and is looking forward to March. I’ve got quite a few photo shoots on my schedule: babies, families and even some animals. March is definitely going to be eventful.

Please keep checking the Blog, there’s a contest coming up very soon that will include PRIZES…
